xbee loop speed?

Started this discussion. Last reply by Thomas J Coyle III Mar 12. 2 Replies

Im running an xbee telemetry link at 5600 baud, but I recently noticed that when I connect to it, my copter seems to be a little bit less stable. Is this normal? Should I try reducing the baud to fix…Continue

"If your charger has a NiMh mode, you can try trickle charging it at the lowest setting until it's recognized as a 4s battery again. Its really not that dangerous, just be smart and do it in a ventilated fireproof place. "

"Why are you against a Turnigy radio? They are kinda incredible in the same way things like the arduino are incredible, they are cheap with a HUGE community with tons of use-cases and mods behind it. "

"Also they wouldnt be on the same axis, causing weird accelerations diff's between the two.. It would just get messy. Its much better to just have a stab loop without an imax that can correct for a down'd motor."

basshead replied to Han S's discussion mix and match ESC's?
"Good to hear, as a matter of fact technically you should be able to use any combination of motors/props/esc's on any of the arms and it will all be compensated (quite nicely now with the new re-routed I term) for."

basshead replied to Han S's discussion mix and match ESC's?
"Technically speaking the IMU should just compensate for whatever variances in throttle response different ESC's have. You should be fine. "

basshead replied to duane's discussion Forever yawing
"You dont need a mag sensor to fly the arducopter... Its to compensate yaw drift in the long run. Duane's problem is his copter is unfly-able. Do my a favor duane, in the cli, can you run an IMU test and verify that your yaw gyro is outputting…"

Alright guys, here's the big heavy lift y6 I have been working on for almost 2 months now! I had it flying perfectly until a crash involving some motor troubles but now that is all sorted out now. I have re-routed the wires through the arms, stepping down the gauge significantly to do so. I also added lights, and as of now am powering the entire thing on one 12v filtered variable PSU rail and a 5v BEC for just the radio.

My wireless video TX is coming in next week and I already have…
