Started this discussion. Last reply by Elvis Dec 16, 2012. 1 Reply

I have my QAV500 platform tuned very well with 2.8.1, i can let go of sticks and have it maintain position for quite a while without any input.  However, today I finally got around to enabling the…Continue

"Thanks - now it worked! Seemed that there was a cable with loose contact Thanks"

"The resistor goes on rx, as rx sends a 5v signal, it reduces that.   So your second diagram is correct.  Nothing changes on the APM (no bridges cut/soldered etc), on your receiver, ensure you are going in to the correct telemetry enabled…"

"Thanks Daniel But no success till now. What do I have to do? - Soldering some contacts? De-solder some contacts? - how to connect the cable with tx/rx and resistor and the receiver tx ---|        |---- resistor ---…"

"No. No ground shown in my picture. This is just the tx+rx together with resistor. This is because the receiver is already grounded to the apm for power input."

"Hi Captain Silver I am really confused and I do not get APM 2.5 with HOTT Gr-24 running. Question 1: On Daniels picture above I do see 2 connections - one for Gnd and one for TX.But as shown in documentation (wiki) there are 3 connections on APM…"

"It is just tx+rx together (as you want to only have 1 ground to avoid ground loops), and yes... the 1.5k resistor is bridging the 2 as per documentation here: http://code.google.com/p/hott-for-ardupilot/wiki/QuickStartGuideArduCopter Works as…"

"You can use PPMSum. You can follow the instructions here: http://www.mkmanual.com/graupner-mx-20 On the APM, bridge pins 2 and 3, and feed the SUMO channel on your RX to pin 1.  Its pretty simple.  You will need to remap channel…"

I have been working on a fork of the Arduino IDE for use with the Pinocc.io project. With all the improvements I have made, it became my default go to for any Arduino code uploading, so it was inevitable that I would bake in ArduPilot…

With the 3DR black friday deals, and the release of their power module, I took the opportunity to get another couple of APM2.5s, the cases that we have been anticipating, and some power modules.  I got it all assembled yesterday and I must admit I love the simplicity it adds to the build.

I now just have signal leads coming from the ESCs in…
