"Can you post some instructions on how you got it to work? I have the same problem and have tried lots of methods and still cant upload code to the APM2. I have both an AVRISPMKII and a USBASP programmer."

"Thanks david! I manually set the throttle range on the ESC's and after that they stopped beeping. I'm now happily flying my hexacopter with APM2."

"I also get gibberish in the terminal but once I hit "Enter" 3 times, the gibberish goes away. I'll try resetting the throttle range on my ESC's and see if that helps."

"I'm experiencing the same problem, and have calibrated the ESCs both manually and automatically, and still nothing. I believe I have a problem w/ the APM though, as it's returning gibberish in the terminal."
