"On the Xbee shield at the heli, the pins are labeled tx and rx, you also have 2 other pins 5v and gnd for a total of 4 wires between the xbee shield and the ardupilot. Im saying disconnect those 2 pins, rx and tx at the shield and connect them…"

"You were able to read the parameters on what? The Xbees? If so, that means they are set to the correct baud rate (they are modems so their interface must be set to the same rate that the Ardupilot is putting out). You followed the directions and…"

"Disconnect that before you strip the gears in the servo if you already haven't ruined them. Let's get you flying first, then worry about extra things like camera mounts."

"UPDATE: I used X0CTU with the ground XBEE-PRO connected to the laptop and the other connected the APM powered via lipo. Setting the Baud to 57600 I was able to read the parameters. Still trying to get it to read APM wireless in MP."

"OK somehow during this process I was able to get the motors to arm. I got that down now. I am now stuck on the Xbee communication. Looks like MP is not successfully connecting. I purchased this kit from uDrones. Not sure if they are setup and ready…"

"Ok, let's start that you need to wire up the radio to the APM completely and leave all the wires from the distro board disconnected. That's a little off from the directions but my point here is let's get the radio set up and know…"

"Hopefully this picture was early in the process because you cannot arm if you don't have the rest of those wires connected to the receiver on the right channels! It rudder isn't connected, no way will you ever arm."
