Hi,I am working on my first Arducopter 3DR. I am through the build and have reached a block. I am not receiving any power lights on my AR8000 receiver. I have the lipo connected and what I believe to…Continue
"On the Xbee shield at the heli, the pins are labeled tx and rx, you also have 2 other pins 5v and gnd for a total of 4 wires between the xbee shield and the ardupilot. Im saying disconnect those 2 pins, rx and tx at the shield and connect them…"
"1. I have the ground Xbee connected via USB
2. I have the heli Xbee powered via the APM with USB power only
3. I have the X-CTU utility open and set to the ground Xbee com port
4. I have clicked the read button to read the parameters of the Xbee…"
"You were able to read the parameters on what? The Xbees? If so, that means they are set to the correct baud rate (they are modems so their interface must be set to the same rate that the Ardupilot is putting out).
You followed the directions and…"
"UPDATE: I used X0CTU with the ground XBEE-PRO connected to the laptop and the other connected the APM powered via lipo. Setting the Baud to 57600 I was able to read the parameters. Still trying to get it to read APM wireless in MP."
"OK somehow during this process I was able to get the motors to arm. I got that down now. I am now stuck on the Xbee communication. Looks like MP is not successfully connecting. I purchased this kit from uDrones. Not sure if they are setup and ready…"
"Ok, let's start that you need to wire up the radio to the APM completely and leave all the wires from the distro board disconnected. That's a little off from the directions but my point here is let's get the radio set up and know…"
"Just so I have this straight. I should have the lipo & usb connected for this right? Also should the 4 wire cable that connects the APM and the power distribution board be connected? I want to verify that I am doing this correctly. I am getting…"
"Hopefully this picture was early in the process because you cannot arm if you don't have the rest of those wires connected to the receiver on the right channels! It rudder isn't connected, no way will you ever arm."
"Silent means the APM is sending correct PWM to the ESCs so that's good, but it's at low stick or off. In this state, MP should say disarmed because it's waiting for you to hold the left stick in the lower right corner for a few…"
"well issue that i had was that i had to reverse my yaw so it woried as specified. but first try to arm the escs by moving the right stick down and to the left and if that works you need to reverse the yaw. and hav eyou clibrated the escs?"
