Motor breaks and peaks while flying.. PID or BEC ?

Started Nov 7, 2011 0 Replies

I finaly reached stability and  desired stick reactions and my quad hovers stable (even by middle wind). But, during normal flight (when I use more sticks input) I noticed small short motor breaks…Continue

I'm looking for a stable software with acces to all Camera parameters (end-point, neutral position, angular speed, reverse) in APM Planner. Which AC software version could you recommend? Currently I…Continue

PID tuning and strange behaviors: few questions

Hello everyone,It's my first forum topic. First sorry for my english :)My first quadrocopter (based on ArduCopter v2) is a little bit bigger (about 2,3kG total weight and 75cm between motor shafts,…Continue

"Or if Maro is not using a compass at all then the yaw will naturally drift (because it doesn't have the compass to correct it) so he would see the above behaviour."

"More likely than not, your wiring is contributing to magenetic drift so the compass thinks the machine moved when in fact it didn't. There are a lot of threads about this but the biggest problem wires are the ones from the battery to the power…"

Oposite motors change speed rappidly by themself ?

APM v2.5.4. I don't understand some strange motor behaviors.Maybe it's PID issue? Without touching or moving quad I could notice  two oposite motors slow down rapidly after few second. Quad tries to turn fast in Z axis.  It happen itself only under a half throttle value. I can compensate it for a moment with rudder stick, but then it happen again. I calibrated radio and all stick are definitely centered so what is wrong? (Stabilise Yaw P=3.0  I=0.05 )…See More

"Your logs look like the motors shut down for a long time. In my case there is only a short break.  Should I try to change PPM encoder if my board is the CPU2560 version?"
