"I have no idea if the Crius will work with the 9x failsafe. But there's an easy way to find out: connect it (no props), power it up and at 75% throttle, turn off the TX. If it keeps spinning, you have a problem. If the motor stops, the failsafe…"

"Yes you can. You must flash your PPM firmware on the APM2 board with the latest PPM firmware. Once you do that, throttle failsafe and RTL work perfectly (I have a stock 9x, with original radio module and it does failsafe fine). See…"

"No you can not with a stock 9x but if you get a FrSky module and receiver that do CPPM you can do it."
