"this is not an exact science but works for me most of the time (I do a lot of these!!)
But again it may vary, test it before the "final" soldering. (this is with jDrones 30A ESC)

Then check if the motor is ccw or cw.
Look at the diagram for a hexa. If the motor goes the wrong direction, swap any two cables."

"Does not matter. The 3 wires are not "polarized" in any way.
The ESC will send alternating pulses through them to cause the motor to spin.
Connect any way you like, then test the motors. See which ones are turning…"
