Have you ever think about controlling multiple drones, or enjoying a team flying with your friends, where you can both monitor your drones, even your friend who could not come to the field, even your friend in another country !!
If this is not enough…Continue
A big enabler for UAVs going forward, especially with respect to commercialization, will be improving telemetry range. On that note, I've released my MAV Downlink Android application and associated tools today.

DroidPlanner 2.3.3 is out on Google Play Store. This release shouldn’t change much for the average user (just a couple of bug fixes), but it’s a huge improvement for developers.
The changes include (here is the full change log):…Continue
On the first release of Droidplanner I introduced a tool to help with the placement of Ground Control Points (visual markers placed on the field for aerial photogrammetry purposes). But on …Continue

The idea came from the fact that smartphones now feature a lot of nice components useful for a drone. For example, the Nexus 4 used…
As usual I'm doing another post, since DroidPlanner is now installed on 4000 devices!

RK-1 is a wifi enabled mobile robot that you control using your iOS or Android tablet or phone that makes your Arduino projects mobile.
A very Successful test of the DroidPlanner Android App, connected through a 3DR Radio Kit and the 3DR APM2.5
Before taking off, I ensured that there is a proper connection between the APM and the Tablet and that both devices's GPS is locked. Then I take the drone up and put it in Loiter mode.
Follow Mode must be activated in the Settings of the…Continue
