DJI Phantom - It's Not Vapourware, After All.

So, it's an actual real product and not just pretty pictures.  Nice plastic wrapping around what I suspect is just a standard quad.  I like the props.  They look like normal airplane props.

Here's a couple of videos:…

A smaller Quad the DJI Flamewheel F330 with an APM.

I previously posted a BLOG about setting up the FJI F450 Flamewheel with the APM2 and the copter was a great success so I thought I'd put together a smaller and lighter version - The F330 Flamewheel.

My F500 weighs 2 pound 11 ounces ready to fly and I am shooting for 1 pound 11 ounces with…

Using a DJI 450 FlameWheel Quadcopter with the APM

Hi, I previously set up a KKX525 with the APM2, but when one of my ESC's started fading, I thought I'd try something a little more upscale.

I have now put together a DJI 450F Flamewheel ARF including DJI motors, Opto ESCs and props from "RC-Drones" at a reasonable $180.00 and am quite…

Small Girl Flying from Octocopter? Really?

We decided that it was time to test out the stability of the DJI Wookong M electronics on the CineStar 8 from FreeFly Systems.

So we flew a small girl around the park without making any gain adjustments in the DJI assistant.

New Naza GPS is starting to hit the shelves

Early customers are starting to receive their Naza GPS Units, and while I await mine, the early feedback appears positive.

DJI customers in the southern hemisphere will be pleased to hear there are as of yet no reported issues regarding GPS lock. The GPS Upgrade, which brings Position Hold, Return to Home and Simple mode (often known as Carefree mode) appears to be around the $190 tag for existing…

Pushing DJI to limits

Just further pushing what DJI wookong M can do

What I did is removed one motor from standard Jdrones motor with Gaui 500X GM412 and used 11 X 5 Graupner prop. Rest of the threee motors are standard jdrones motors with 10" props.

The only difference was controls became more sensititve. Maybe a PID setting would have helped more. This video was made when the DJI was in Manual…
