RC range simulation at ground level.

Hi,

we have performed RC range simulations for 2 systems:

35MHz, 2.5m mean antenna height, 1m receiver height (vertical mast on the UAV)

and

2.4GHz, 2m TX antenna height, 0.5m receiver height (short antennas)

in order to simulate it over a vast terrain we know and use.

The range plot was made from 4km2 elevation model made by Pix4D and Pteryx UAV.

Treat it as a kind of reminder of what happens when landing using FPV.

We…

Pteryx UAV and PIX4D: one flight, one hour, 4.5km2, only 4 days to make maps

Hi all,

looks that with the spread of processing methods and technology,

we can make things that were available only to national security agencies, once upon a time.

Take a look at the maps of the flight made May 18th:

one day to fly, one day to upload, one day for processing, (one day for grill party), one day to download.…

How the land changes as we repeat mapping during the year

Dear all, during routine test flying of Pteryx UAV, we had an opportunity to capture maps of various sizes.

The following example is made near our factory in Opaleniska village, South-East Poland.

One thing is clear: Google Earth is lying! The earth from above never looks as it shows.

The original is here:…

Pteryx flight over Bezmiechowa mountain.

The map depicts unusual, sloped glider airfield.

It was a small demonstration for the officials.

I wasn't even there, just posting my friend's flight.
