ArduSat Balloon Launch (joined by Sparkfun!)

This isn't directly applicable to autopilots, but there was some interest from this community in the ArduSat effort, so here goes... On October 27th, the EDGE Research Laboratory team launched and successfully recovered the ArduSat prototype system.  It was a huge thrill for us to get to work with the team at…

Quadcopter first flight

This week I tested my quadcopter. Some while ago I replyed to a blog and showed my homemade super cheap motor vibration dampers. Some poeple where sceptic. But totday I can show you that my multicopter can fly

Its's build from scratch. Wifi controlled and has aruidno compatible control board.…

Quad vs Tree

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Q5dbNigOiQ

I finally got to fly my quad (my first time ever!)

It's scratch built from angle aluminum and running MultiWii on an Arduino Mega. I'm controlling it via PC joystick over Wifi (soon to be controlled by iPhone too) thanks to my…

RC CAR+ARDUINO: The second prototype is ready

Today I went to a mega store and I found this "broken" car for just 9.99 pounds, so I decided to buy it and replace the crappy car that I mounted all the stuffs.

The next week I will buy 1 ultrasound sensor, extension IO and a compass, them should help the car to drive in a specific direction ( i.e. to the north ) and I am going to avoid the…

Arduino Support from MATLAB Simulink

Folks,

Mathworks started to support Arduino on their MATLAB/Simulink.

I didn't look through carefully, however, sounds really interesting.

RC Car with Arduino nano and a TB6612FNG

Hello guys,

this is my first post on this blog and I'd like to give some information about my new personal project. How you read on the title, the project is a RC CAR with Arduino nano that is controlled by TB6612FNG.

The final project will be a RC CAR controlled by Arduino nano and a few sensors, the big goal is to create a car that I…

A little Success with Arduino Ethernet , Vapix 3 and PTZ camera for Telemaster

Plan is to mount under fuselage of Telemaster 12' and Mugin when it arrives.

Camera Position is being controlled by Arduino via ethernet, Pan, Til,t Zoom  , and record to local SD,and  h264 stream, works so far.

Nice thing about this camera is its speed. Also does great with its built in video stabilization.

My plan is…

Wide field 4D optical flow odometry using Arduino and Stonyman image sensor

I've been working on a new version of our ArduEye using one of our "Stonyman" image sensor chips and decided to see if I can grab four dimensions of optical flow (X shift, Y shift, curl, and divergence) from a wide field of view. I wirebonded a Stonyman chip to a 1" square breakout board, and attached it to an Arduino Mega256 using a simple…

ArduIMU V3 is finally here!

Long time since my last post!

I'm glad to announce the new ArduIMU V3 that will take the place of the very successful ArduIMU v2 (flat version). We called it flat version because ArduIMU V2 was created in a time where 3 axis and even 2 axis gyros were not so common and we had to place some of the…

Miga motors nanomuscle : servo substitute?

Yet another antenna tracker

Now that I got a couple of weeks' vacation from the army I finally had the time to work on some new hardware. Last week I made directional antennas for my UAS: thanks to IBCrazy for his fabulous BiQuad tutorial on RCGroups. Only an antenna tracker was missing.

Paparazzi GCS includes an antenna tracker -controller but as I've recently been…
