A challenge - An autopilot to fit in this

This is the Vladimir models Graphite 2e.  It is a fairly typical skinny, lightweight, efficient fully moulded motor glider.  Despite its 3.1m span there is not much space for anything.

I just found my internet home!

I can't believe the treasure of information, and people that make up this website. I am so excited to have found it. I plan to be an active member from this day forward.

I am an eager beginner to all this. I have been flying RC Airplanes for only about 3 years now, and have always had my eye on the goal of using an RC airplane to get aerial photographs and video. I am completely obsessed with accomplishing this goal! :)

Here is how I progressed so far in the… Continue

Need help with DIY high alt glider

Hello again

I'm trying to make a UAV that will go to about 30Km high with the aid of a weather/sounding balloon. After the balloon pops/ gets relised I want the UAV to parachute down taking pictures as it goes then at around 20,000 feet for ether a glider to open out on top, or a ram parachute to open up to help fly the UAV back. The only problem is that I have found very little help on the net on which is better or how to make them for a UAV that weights about 1.5kg

Any… Continue

Motor Glider UAV project

Hi all,

this is my first blog and I wanted to share that experience with you as most of my projects are about UAV and robotics.

First of all I got to thank the whole "DIYDrones" community that gave me a lot of informations and ideas in the past. And continues but... now I think it's my time to share my findings while developing my "ideas".

I usually work with the Arduino open platform but lately I've been working with… Continue
