Well, technology is developing fast, but one issue always remains: how to config the TX to allow 6 modes...
Here is a 6 modes switch for ANY Transmitter !

These instructions explain how to set up a Spektrum DX7 transmitter for 6 different flight modes, using just the 3 position Flaps switch (in combination with the Rudder switch). This way you'll use just one channel for the flight modes and leave the Gear and Aux2 channel open ...

This is how it worked for my DX7,
I use various switch combinations of the FLAPS and the GEAR switch which will give you 6 modes;

The T6EX doesn't have a 3 position switch channel, so I had to combine channel 5 and 6 to get four modes. I made it work with a pot that has double terminals for each knob position, so that way there is always 2 pins to connect cables to for a single position.

This is my little help to those who want to fly 5 modes with their 6 Channel TX.
Unfortunately the DX6i has only 2 Pos Switches. If it had a 3 pos on the 6th channel, the we could use 6 modes.
But anyway this is How I did it:
In the SetUp menu go to MIX1 and set:
GEAR --> GEAR ACT
RATE D -50% U 0%
SW ELE D/R
Then go to MIX2 and set:
GEAR --> GEAR ACT
RATE D -100% U 0%
