www.rcdetails.info: update

Hi!

There are a lot of new properties. You can search servos: by type (digital/analog), or you can choose torque and speed (4.8V, 6V, etc), or gears (metal, plastic):

Right now my database (rcdetails.info) contains:

>800 brushless motors,

>300 gas and glow…

How big of a DIY Drone could you make? What about one with a 21' wingspan?

Once, I was giving a presentation on the history of drone technology and I showed a group of high school teachers the APM 2.0, and a teacher asked me "how big of a drone could you make with that?" I didn't know how to respond at first, because really there are practical limits on the size of a drone one builds in one's…

RC CAR+ARDUINO: The second prototype is ready

Today I went to a mega store and I found this "broken" car for just 9.99 pounds, so I decided to buy it and replace the crappy car that I mounted all the stuffs.

The next week I will buy 1 ultrasound sensor, extension IO and a compass, them should help the car to drive in a specific direction ( i.e. to the north ) and I am going to avoid the…

ArduCopter-shot video presenting our RC club : Diest Model Club

Here's a video I made for our rc club's website.  Almost all aireal video is shot with my ArduCopter hexacopter and a cheap 50 euro Kodak ZX-1 cam.  Firmware versions flown are 2.0.46 to 49.

For shooting the planes in flight I used a 7" carDVD LCD monitor bolted to my transmitter.

The intention was to show the website visitors what can be…

RC Speedo - A speedometer app for your phone!

Hey guys!  A friend and I developed a speedometer app for iOS and Android.  It is a simple to use app that allows your mobile device to "listen" for RC aircraft passes and announce the pass speed.  Furthermore, the app also can log and export all of your pass data via email so that you can review it later.  This works great if you want to analyze how…

Batto - Testing the MAV I built for mapping

Ok, I didnt build it all myself, credit goes out to my mate Kim who cut holes and spent a fair bit of time with me on the build :)

So anyway, I wanted a UAV that did something... useful...

Pan and tilt for video link

Because of bad weather her in Denmark I had the time to make a pan and tilt system for my Seagull 2200 inspired by the pan and tilt system from Range video. (DIY is much cheaper). I have ordered a 1 Watt 2,4 Ghz Video TX and RX from Range video so now the Seagull will soon be ready for a FPV flying.

Still wayting for better weather before I can start testing Ardupilot… Continue
