Comment by Jack Crossfire on November 2, 2012 at 5:43pm At least he's finally doing something closer to his education. Would be surprising if 3D Robotics paid for the same lifestyle that Wired did.
Wow, now that's big news! I'm sure Chris thought about it plenty before making the leap. Congrats Chris!
Comment by Phil Cramer on November 2, 2012 at 5:54pm Sometimes you've got to follow your passion. I see this as really good news for those of us 'invested' in 3DR gear.
Congrats and best of luck Chris!
Comment by Kevin Brown on November 2, 2012 at 5:57pm From what I have seen 3DR is doing very well, 7+ mill is not shabby at all
Congrats Chis
I am sure 3DR will benefit from 100% of his attention
Comment by Alfred Alan jr on November 2, 2012 at 6:00pm Good luck!

Dude. The American dream, (well, one of them). Nice work.

Thanks Mark! I'll be opening the Bay Area offices of 3DR, to go with San Diego engineering and Tijuana production. Should be ramping up by the end of the month, after I wind down my Wired duties. Stay tuned for more news next week regarding funding. This is going to be big ;-)
Comment by Scott Plunkett on November 2, 2012 at 8:34pm Wow...Congratulations Chris!

Hey, good news! I was amazed that you've been able to do two jobs for so long!
