Comment by William Wegenast on January 2, 2012 at 11:08am Can this be fitted to the Aurora 9?
I am looking for a way to boost the transmission from my Aurora 9. I know I could something like Dragon Link but, for now I'm looking for something to just boost the signal from the A9 Tx.

Comment by William Wegenast on January 4, 2012 at 1:01pm Anyone know if this will work with a Aurora 9 Tx?
Comment by Thomas Rutter on January 11, 2012 at 5:21pm Ditto on the A9
Comment by William Wegenast on January 11, 2012 at 8:55pm I know what you mean. No one has any advice on this.
Comment by Thomas Rutter on January 12, 2012 at 12:25am I just saw this today, and joined today. Been thinking about it.
The only way to make this work with an A9 would be to bust open the case of the Spectra module,
desolder the antenna lead, and attach an sma cable there with a male end on the other end.
There is some talk on the rcgroups A9 thread about a different, faster module, the xps, that fits it.
Do you lose telemetry? Does it have the proper connector? Will find out more.
Jordi, great find, something I'd do. Very cool.
Comment by William Wegenast on January 12, 2012 at 1:31am The A9 has a module on the back of it. This so the user can 2.4GHz or 72MHz modules. I would imagine there is some way to make the Dragon Link plug into this port. But, I'm not sure. I'm hoping that someone has done it and has some advice for or instruction for some like me. :)
The only telemetry I've used is the SPC port on the Rx to get voltage for low voltage alarms when flying my heli. More accurate than using the timer. ;)

Comment by Thomas Rutter on January 15, 2012 at 9:24pm The xps module only fits the old optic tx's. Bummer
Comment by William Wegenast on January 15, 2012 at 11:27pm I wonder if you could just wire it into the port and velcro the module to the back of the A9.
Comment by Colin Bouriquet on February 2, 2012 at 2:57pm Jordi : why one on each side if it says it's bi-directional ? Isn't it enough with one plugged on the GCS side ?
