Concerning the packaging options...how do you think they will be configured? In other words...how many different types of packaging options will be available? Will we easily be able to add extras to the package as so on? Will the lighting be included in the package? If not...will there be a quick tutorial on how you guys have placed and powered your led's ?

We try to keep as less different package types as possible. This way it will be easier especially for newcommers but naturally more advanced people can build their own "packages". Mainly it will be like full packet with frame, motors, esc, basic electronics (apm, oilpan, gps, magneto) or similar combination. Then just frame, motors, esc due many people already have apm/oilpan. Also it is possible to get just the frame it self or electronics to people who want to build their own frames.

LED's and others will be optional and there will be other things too. DIY KIT idea is to give easy access to basic quad systems for everyone. From that point people can build their quad to what ever direction they want.

All instructions will be available. If something is missing, we will create it, that's to power of community :)

Everyone are welcome to mount what ever landing gears on their quads, we just provide startup set. Set that can grow with your needs and it will. But I'm not sure how much that HK skids would protect more? :)

Current protection is rather good already and I bet that it is stronger than those HK skids...

And as promised earlier, small flying video that I made yesterday with ArduCopter official frame and latest firmware. On this video all my settings are rather default and flying area is really difficult, but still ArduCopter can handle it rather well.

And come examples of how frame has been tested against baaaad flying.. This is even rather "mild" bashing. It been flying against walls, ceilings, kicked, thrown stuff on it, flipped over due badly mounted props etc. Only thing that we haven't test yet is run over it by car :P

NOT for people with heart problems or are worried about their toys....

Camera angle is a bit bad due did not have Tripod so had to hang my miniDV camera on wall sign...

great videos! what level of soldering skill would you say a person needs to get one of these things built? I have soldered wire harnesses before but never anything really precise. also, are those the props that will come with the kit?
