Rescue Robotics 2010 OBC Build Progress Update 5 - Integration

Hi All,

Just a quick progress update, I have been able to achieve the following:

  • Installed AP and failsafe electronics.
  • Installed & tested water bottle drop mechanism
  • Installed and calibrated IR sensors.
  • Installed & tested GPS
  • Due to issues with the ppm encoder i have only achieved partial system integration however I am still able to switch between full-auto mode and full-manual mode via a workaround.

Adam,

If you can hop on IRC, we can do some troubleshooting on your PPM encoder. I also know of a shop selling paparazzi equipment just about to open in AU where you could get a quick replacement.

Otherwise, it's looking good and I look forward to seeing how you fare in the OBC.

Adam,

If this is a Maja airframe, Borjet has a landing gear kit available now for the Maja making it easier to launch and retrieve. I just ordered mine today.

@CheBuzz

Thanks i had no idea there was an Australian based supplier they aren't listed on the get hardware page!!! I just found them by searching through pages of google: http://www.aerofu.com/. Their prices looks really good! but the store doesn't look finished.

Thanks TCIII i will have a look!

Ah, that's how I got a customer before launching my site. Thanks Buzz :)

I am listed on the Get Hardware page now.

Not sure the store will ever be "finished", but me and the stock are real and yes, prices are as cheap as I can afford to make them.

TCIII,

I'm considering the Borjet Maja airframe for my APM/IMU. Can you provide any pics of your build or info on how the landing gear worked out for you?

Thanks in advance.
