mquintilian: the cool thing is not the cup stand, but the laptop being a secondary soldering table/plate !

Max, the thing about the stuff falling behind the table - that's unfortunately not related to how much you need the items, you've got both useful and crap falling there. but i got a solution - ive took the table to the wall, and theres no space !

I'll give you a call tomorrow noon, thanks for your message

The question is; that clothespin on the 1st pic... what's that for ? :)

Wow.. Now how did you organize it all? My workbench looks about like your before picture.

Another question - what is this mega block of capacitors for? Obviosly it survives the cleaning :-)

your wife must not be allowed in this area... :)

I agree with Martint

What you had was what I call a "random access filing system" , now it's all
been archived.
It's more difficult (slower) to get the specific things you need from an archive than from the desktop. LOL

This really made me feel more positive about our workspace

:)

Thanks all.

the clothespin is there... mmm... for... hm... i cant remember !

Dimitar, these capacitors block is nothing... believe me, not much, just 2500uF 450v caps....

we are developing photography flash equipment, studio flash systems of high power (1000-2000 Joules)

and on workbench they are always useful: you can quickly charge them and blast something... :P

why the bank in the first picture is nothing ? you can see here:

all are around 400v, from 1500 to 3000uF each
