I posted it last night but I guess it didn't show up in the comments but I took a look at the source code for his webpage and just below the paragraph stating the postponement of the release of the code, he had a hidden paragraph that stated that they had planned on releasing the tracker on multiple platforms such as Android, iOS, C, and do what they could to get away from MATLAB as it's mainly a research tool. The entire paragraph is gone from the webpage source code but I'll see if it's still on my laptop when I get home. From the looks of what was written, I find it highly unlikely that he will be releasing it as open source and it will be used for making money unfortunately. It's too bad because I can think of a lot of ways to use this.

I got the demo to work last night, but the face follower did not work, it would let you draw the box but once double clicked it would not draw the yellow box. Has any one else had this problem? it did however work on the object tracker demo, which drew the box and showed its position on screen etc..

https://github.com/abelsson/TLD looks like the source code. And it even says GPL v2.0 license.

Just got the demo working. Seeing is believing. Pretty amazing. My face doesn't seem to 2D well. I'm having a hard time finding a picture of me that it will recognize, but it has no trouble matching faces between several other photos I have.

Thanks to Ramon for the help, & to you Jay for the code!
