Comment by Andre S on August 18, 2011 at 11:16pm Looks great. Any comments on how to attach it to the canopy? You seemed to have drilled holes to the elapor?

I built a similar pod for my CoPilot II and Ardupilot legacy by modifying a Readymaderc EZ* pod. The shelf for the Ardupilot clears the battery in the cockpit when the battery is mounted sideways in the bottom of the EZ*.
I like this design for the APM/IMU which will save me from having to modify another Readymaderc pod.

Comment by apocolipse on August 19, 2011 at 6:19am Hi Alan, it looks awesome!!! Just a tip, http://readymaderc.com has the v1 sky surfer, which is the exact same plane as the bixler (i have both sitting on my dining room table right now). I would LOVE to have one of these, readymadeRC sells a pan/tilt canopy for the sky surfer but a full electronics canopy would be superb. One question, how does having all the electronics forward of CG affect balance? battery mounted under the wing ?

Hi guys, this is how we have our batteries set up to get the right cg.
apocalipse, thanks for the tip. I also bought a bixler for myself from Hobbyking's China warehouse a couple weeks ago. Since the US warehouse is still in backorder, mine might beat the one we ordered for 3DR. If that's the case ill hold off on assembling mine to model it and push these things out quickly.
Comment by Michael on August 19, 2011 at 9:22am How difficult would it be to modify this so one could look back at the tail? Can you look straight up as well?

Comment by Bobulisk on August 19, 2011 at 10:18am Does anyone know if this is compatible with the Hawk Sky?
Comment by lionel on August 19, 2011 at 12:25pm That's great :-))
One of the platform I am using is a Twinstar II. Are there any electronic chassis for this bird ?
