Was simply too excited about the videos and photos we got from this field test last week. I have now clearly acknowledged this community in the youtube description, "...Autopilot system is based on ArdupilotMega developed by an open-source community at http://diydrones.com."
I only started learning about the APM a couple of months ago. Hope to be able to tap into some of your expertise!
I'm now trying to increase the range and payload by using the FPV raptor 2000mm. This model seems to be the best tradeoff between load and portability, which is important in the forest.

It is an initiative to help local conservation workers in the developing tropics do their work more cost effectively. I will try to put up all information for adapting the APM system for conservation purposes somewhere on the web, perhaps even on DIYdrones, so that these workers in developing countries can make their own drones.
