Holy crap, $200 for a 2700mAh battery?!?!??!
Comment by Gareth Rens on February 24, 2012 at 1:17pm These are the first multi-rotors I saw. Problem is the X8 entry price is $32 000.
And Iv heard that the stability isnt much better than the MK.
You can get some awesome accessories and a cool custom controller with a touch screen though.
Comment by Gareth Rens on February 24, 2012 at 1:21pm @Daniel: How did you make the dome?
Comment by Ellison Chan on February 24, 2012 at 1:23pm This company was started quite a while ago, 2008 I believe. Things have evolved. I'm not sure why they still stick to the old pricing model. From what I am seeing, they're not building them any sturdier than any of us can.
Comment by Daniel Hibben on February 24, 2012 at 2:03pm I used one of the ones they sell actually. I used it to make a mold, then vacuum formed one with some modifications to work with my design because they don't sell the bottom ones and it probably would not have fit the folding frame I built anyway. looks good though I Think
Comment by Gareth Rens on February 24, 2012 at 2:42pm @Daniel: to be honest, it looks better than the X6!
Comment by Daniel Hibben on February 24, 2012 at 4:46pm thank you @Gareth
What an incredibly worthy use of a quadcopter! It makes me want to vomit. I'm sure there's a bunch of Australians lapping this up though!
Comment by Mike on February 24, 2012 at 9:38pm This was posted a couple of days earlier on DIYD but with a less dramatic pic and got only 1 comment - I wonder how much the picture influenced people to open the post?
As I said on the earlier post surely a FW would have been cheaper and a lot more efficient/effective...? I would be interested to know why the multicopter was chosen over a foamie...
