You can purchase a BTC-40 from MicroUAV.com. It appears he cribbed their design, thus why it's not for sale.

This is the best price I've found. Ready made slip rings make turrets a lot easier to build.

Aside from the ball, all the parts are easily sourced for diy. I'm sure if you look around a suitable ball could be found though (toy stores, etc.)

I know that you can get the turret from MicroUAV however he want 4000.00 usd and thats a bit steep for a 40 mm cam. I would like to build it for my self but I don't have the equipment for such a build. Just looking for a ARF or short kit to start from. But I am also open to other peoples ideas on a easy in expensive alternative.

I had no idea that they were that expensive.  I saw someone on the thread on RC were asking the builder to make a kit, but it doesn't look like that is going to happen.  Maybe one of us could convince the OP to do a post on here about it ???

I followed this a couple months ago.  Funny thing was the company basically used scare tactics to shut the guy up claiming indirect patent infringement.  They kind of shot themselves in the foot because all the company really did was direct people to the patent and now everyone knows exactly how their "special sauce" works.  Specially in the communities we DIY'ers work in Pattent = free gimbal plans for all my friends.  I've already started working on "my version".
