DIY Drones Take on Silicon Valley

Amateur drone makers are sending their do-it-yourself creations up into the skies of Silicon Valley. WSJ's Andy Jordan reports from San Francisco on the stunning footage they're capturing.

nice!  was it for the video or something else?  I fly all the time at Crissy Field man....maybe fly together at some point?

Yeah, I'd like that. Always wanted to fly there. Having a little kid means I get out at most once a month though.

Season Two of the Trust Time Trial (T3) Contest has now begun. The fourth round is an accuracy round for multicopters, which requires contestants to fly a cube. The deadline is April 14th.
