Are your laws similar to ours here in Canada where you have to request permission to fly in each location, and wait a few weeks for approval?

@R_Lefebvre. No;  Area approval is required only when wishing to operate above 400ft.  I'm assuming it might take weeks, but I don't know because I can't imagine need to fly higher than 400ft.  

It is a very premium service that we offer, targeted at properties valued > $1M.  I guess the reason why our service is so popular is that all our UAV pilots are also real pilots with R/C experience, and the camera operator is actually a photographer.   There have been many "illegal" operators that have come and gone, and our biggest challenge was to show the real estate agents that we could actually take good photos.  As the Managing Director of Aperture 22 said "We've had 4 guys come and go before you, their photos were out of focus, low resolution or not framed correctly".  Not surprising because they were using point and shoot cameras and camcorders.  And the guy controlling the drone didn't have a photographer framing the shots.  

Now that we have shown the agents that unlike the illegal guys, we can deliver, the work just keeps coming.  Samples of our work are on flickr.com/photos/coptercam/sets

And you're using what, Sony Nex5 or Nex7?  Seems like a good choice to me.

NEX7 with 16mm lens.  I'm very happy with it.  Weighs not much more than a point and shoot, but its a proper dSLR with an APS-C sized sensor.

I'm starting off with a WX10 P&S, but it wouldn't be hard to scale up my mount 20% for a Nex if I start getting anywhere with this.

If it was really staged, the couple would be an imaginary, perfect match instead of the skinny man & overweight woman of reality.
