Seems a very good idea! I wonder what are you using to get the data... how accurate it is.. sure depends on data... so we get it from weather station? are you indicating the origin of the reported data on the map (like a radius display where the station is)

Hi Dany, I'm using a service that gets its data from a number of sources and uses elements from a current realisation of the Global Forecast System numeric weather model to interpolate between stations. I've found it pretty accurate.

Windalert looks interesting, how much is a subscription?  I like the idea of using the microphone but I wanted to know what the wind was doing in a few hours but without being at the location so you can plan things in advance.

Not too impressed with this one.  Bought it, Downloaded it, was expecting to use it to see the map view showing windsock.  The only time the map view is available is when you initially search for an address.  After that only displays list of winds with list of times.

 

Much better apps out there.  I use Aeroweather.  It gives you airport winds, weather radar, webcams, forecast, etc.

Do you mean when you add a new site to the list of sites you are watching? I did this because i wasnt sure how far apart the sites would be and found the list easier to compare. If you'd like to view the map view instead of the list view I could add this in and push it out as an update.

Richard, I have attached 2 pictures as an example.  The first showing the windsock is what you see when you first search for an address to add.  Once you click done, the option to see the "Top down" view is no longer available.  All you can do at this point is view your saved locations like the sencond picture in the list view. 

Would be nice with some kind of toggle between the two views of your saved sites.
