  • the airframe above is made of PVC foam board. That's easy and low-cost way to build airframe from ground up.
  • By other way ,
Thanks for Sgt Ric 's advice!
  • What I care about:
If somebody kown how to use the raw material (e.g. wood ,PK board, metal, plastic) to build our own airframe from ground up ,Please show his or her experience.

The Reaper version especially, is the antithesis of the neutral intent of this site.

    Lets keep it "green".

Perhaps you should read a bit further on this site...many of the members have worked with the Predator class drone.
There have been many threads regarding plans and the many kitsand ARFs, as well as several build threads covering different scales and materials.
Chris (as well as many others) has owned and flown several of the different sizes.
The general consensus of the site seems to be that this is more of a cosmetic, romantic attraction to this genre and not a serious UAV platform.
One of the current blogs (covers the model in your photo) is posted here.
  • There is a virtual Reaper model available for X-plane. It's not very easy to fly even full size from what I experienced.
  • Ok, so that is a read only 3d model of the Predator.

I started a predator kit, but sold it because it was going to be a difficult model to fly without alot of modigfications that I am currently not able to undertake. Quite often we and model builders forget that scale isn't always best, because control surfaces can end up being too small or inefficient at RC scale.
  • I think we can do it :

this is an airframe sailing on net.
  • Can we modify that to be our non-millitary version of the Predator? So much more friendly.
