Some of you may remember my T3 entry: a 3D scan of the UMBC campus. If not, check out the blog post. Well I'm glad to say that since then I've gotten the scan printed! My lab partner and I are looking at starting a small business, and while doing so we were introduced to Potomac Photonics, a company which specializes in precision small parts. They were kind enough to print our scan as a proof of concept. The print is actually dinner plate sized; the level of detail is just amazing.
