Many R/C and Robotics enthusiasts build Robotic Vehicle parts using 3D printing and find the technology very useful. A group of scientists from the European Space Agency took it to the next level!
Comment by John Githens on February 4, 2013 at 8:02am Wow. A 2,205 pound (1,000 kilograms) test-print for a habitat. Hmmm, and meanwhile on Earth... some possibilities. Thanks for posting this.

No Problem John! I thought it was very interesting considering how we use it on earth for various hobbies and manufacturing.

I think we do a lot of stuff on the moon with robotics similar to what we do on Mars but to a higher level but were just not told about it in the main stream media. But that's just my opinion!
