Another nice design for a 3D printed quadcopter frame

From Thingiverse. Designed to fit 1/2" towel rail bars, which can be found in any hardware store.

Also original ArduCopter uses those 1/2" towel bars. Why, like chris said, it's easy to find them on any hardware store if you need urgent replacement or you can get those from jDrones and local distributors.

That's a pretty nice design.  Man, I gotta get me a 3D printer!  I'm waiting on the Makibox, as I have a limitless supply of plastic pellets where I work. ;)

I think it would be awesome if somebody found a way to insert metal objects, like those bars, into the 3D printer, and have plastic molded around it.  It would revolutionize the process, I think.

I would switch to bass wood. Lighter and cheaper and very strong.

Hi R_lefebvre - where are you located, i would be interested in your unlimited supply of pellets :)

Are you maybe willing to found a Makibox Builders Club? Bit like a local UserGroup for Makibox owners
