APM 2.0 back in production!
If you follow the 3D Robotics Twitter feed, you'll have seen that APM 2 production is underway again! The hard-to-get pressure sensors arrived, and shipments will begin again next week. At this point, the supply chain shortages should be over, so we expect APM 2 to be continually in stock once all the pre-orders are filled in a week or two. Yay!
Remember, APM 2 is now available with an external GPS option or with the headers unsoldered, if you want to use different ones than the defaults.
(For the production gurus out there, be reassured that there is a layer of antistatic foam between each of those in-progress APM stacks in the picture)

A possibly stupid question, but which one should I prefer, the APM2.0 or the regular ArduPilot Mega kit? I understand that the 2.0 is more compact and cheap but do they have the same capabilities? Is the IMU in the 2.0 more accurate than the IMU shield?
To summarize my question (because I'm actually want to buy one of them and I don't know which one) apart from volume, weight and cost, which one is the best?

Andreas: That's not quite right. If you order today, I would expect a delay of no more than two weeks before ship, and we expect that to go to zero within a month.

As soon as its in stock id say people like me with great patience(and no money now) will flood in orders and cause a backlog.There are a lot more members now.
I have been waiting months for this.I actually went on to the site the day it was announced with intentions of finding the cheapest supplier shipping-wise and taking the plunge and buying one.Then that purple beauty flashed up on my screen.

a bit offtopic here but may i ask whats the problem with the Xbee Telemetry kit
i always get an error with it not being in stock, is there also a backlog of orders for it? like what happened with apm2
Whoops! Our apologies, but although this product is listed as in stock, there is actually one component (Xbee paired modules for kit (RPSMA connector + wire antenna modules!)) that we don't have in hand. Rather than ship an incomplete product, please try in a few days. We usually restock quickly.
