APM2, $10 quad frame, 51 minutes to build and fly

As part of a friendly bet with Trappy on facebook, Andreas built and flew one of his signature wooden quads in under an hour.  A more detailed build video is being edited, but here's a timelapse of the process.

HEHEHE well done!

Time to "pay" Trappy! I wonder how Andreas can get these motor mount holes so precise... maybe we will see more on the final edit!

way to go!

@dany, I use a spare motor mount as a stencil and mark the holes to be drilled with a sharpie. Once I was sure the arms were 100% in length, I used a piece of wood to place the motor mount at equal distance from the end of the arm. Centering was done by eye, but could draw a proper centerline if desired. I think the second video will show lots of detail.

Detailed video will be up soon...  It's a good thing the challenge wasn't to edit, transcode, and upload 60 minutes of video shot in two different resolutions!

It is amazing how many  different individual hand operations you did in an hour Then the test flight and re balance

kinda looks like you knew exactly what you were doing Excellent !
