They were hiring somebody to run their website and sales support last week.
  • Limitation: Under aided and automous modes, Ruby has a factory programmed 3000 foot range, beyond which it will attempt to return home.

The offer price at present is 245US$.

Until export regulations are clarified, Ruby is currently only shipping to USA addresses. As currently shipped, Ruby's IMU and navigation systems will only function inside the continental United States, Alaska, and Hawaii.

With APM already there and UD4 soon expected, I do not not find RUBY much lucrative.

  • I am sad because they say it wont work here in my country. :-) jajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajaja i have my APM now, i am sure i wont need any RUBY...... but it looks cool....

Interesting. It's basically an IMU autopilot with the UAV functions (programmable waypoints, ground station, etc) crippled, presumably for regulatory reasons. The regular price is $345, which is not bad. More expensive and fewer features than the open source autopilots, but it seems to be designed to compete with FMA's Co-Pilot, not UAV companies.
