Attack! But please one unit per person! The demand is so high, be nice with others!

To buy it click here please.

[Copy/Paste Update]:
Also note that FMA XY is $43, the Z sensor was
another $25, and the cable wasn't included. So that was at least $75
with cables. Also, we have to pay a royalty to FMA and don't buy parts
at the same volume they do. Plus, of course, FMA doesn't make the Z at
all anymore.

You might also want to note that our sensors are less than the
Paparazzi ones ($125:
http://ppzuav.com/osc/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=13_5&produ...)
and the same price as AttoPilot. Or you can make your own, just buy the 6 thermophiles for about hundred dollars from Digikey (http://search.digikey.com/scripts/DkSearch/dksus.dll?Detail&nam...). So basically these are tied for the
cheapest full XYZ sensor solution in the world.

However, if people want to wait for FMA to bring the XYs back in
stock, people can always buy two of them and use one as a Z sensor and
save a few dollars. (just ignore one wire).

Earl, I am looking at the Wii nunchuck code and want to add gyro's and filter/combined outputs for position data. I am new to C but grasp most concepts. But Bill P's DCM is too advanced for me, may be you could help with DCM ?? I also have 5DF & 6DF boards from SparkFun 5DF needs repair, gyro is miss-aligned to pads. The 6DF is working with demo Mixer tool but that as far as I got I need to get IMU board to talk with ArduPilot.

Chris,
In the manual this section
Appendix 1: Correct LED behavior
You refer to
ArduPilot 2.x code loaded, autopilot in auto mode 1 (middle position of toggle switch), jumper removed, GPS connected

Could you make it clear what auto mode 1 and auto mode 2 is. Like refer to them as RTL and Waypoint mode please.

@Chris and Earl: the cables are only there to connect the new XYZ sensors for those who have ordered the "expansion shield kit". Those who were too fast (like I was) and/or ordered the "expansion shield" do not have the cable to eventually connect the new sensors, unless they already have the FMA Copilot and can use those cables!

I got connectors with the new XYZ sensors but no cable, which is ok if I has the correct pinout of the sensors. I know they go to about the center of the shield in this order.

+5
A3
A2
A1
Which is which ? I have a1 and a2 on the XY sensor, and a3 (next to +5) on the Z. I have a feeling that is not right. How about a few pics with the proper hookup ?

Earl,

Careful, the labels are wrong, it suppose to be A0,A1 and A2. A0=A1, A1=A2, A2=A3. A2(A3 in the wrong labels) is Z. The other two i don't know because are in diagonal, just remember this the first signal output is the first signal input. Use the Force Earl.

At my age the Force is almost on the other side ! OK on the labels, I thought thats what it was. I got it hooked up properly by accident.
Still some pics with lables for others in the manual might be good.

So let me get this right... FMA screwed all it's customers over by not selling the Z-sensor anymore, no more support for FS8 customers... And although i have the sensors i am still hopelessly screwed seeing that i now have to spend another $120 times 2 becuase i don't have the Z-sensor...

Its great to see these up for sale! And thanks for lowering the price from $115 to $99, any saved money counts. Is there a BOM for the z sensor like there is for the xy sensor?

Bill,

You are welcome. Thanks to the people that first bought the sensors i was able to buy the thermophiles in bigger quantity's and lower the price.
