Larry Abramson came out and flew with us one morning, and filed this story.  The only downside of it being a radio story is that you can't see Andreas in his bucket-style video goggles!

I think Rana's concern is that this forum is not for the discussion of military topics, drone or otherwise.  I fully support that position -- there's plenty of other places to talk about military topics for those so inclined, and this site is for DIY.

I think the news story emphasizes the DIY and civilian sectors, and how things which were once exclusively miliarty are now being made by hobbyists in their home.

My only objection was to calling my unit a homemake toy... as I've explained to my wife, it's a highly engineered scientific research project!!!

rana you talking about WEAPON right? no need to be silly about it after all UAVs started out as a militery aerial vehicle http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unmanned_aerial_vehicle just saying no need to be paranoid about it
