This year, drones figured prominently. Here are her slides, with great data as always:

  • Very interesting report itself - recomended for read - very impressive info:

    and very respectable source:

  • Beyond the slides about the evolving commercial drone industry, this outstanding 197 slide presentation is full of other information about trends and implications in technology, social behavior, relative wealth, and work-for-income. Those who are supporting (and are compelled to use...) today's "enterprise" systems should take note.

Slide 73 is about how cell phone owners use their phones. How much of that information may - or will - be sourced by drones in the air or on the ground? Maybe we are seeing a trend toward redefining "mobile".

  • Very encouraging. Once commercial drones take off, it'll follow the same trend as consumer, but with a much larger dollar amount, I guess.

On another note, seems China is back to year 1820, like US of 1940, to become a dominating world power with 1/3 global GDP.
