Drone-InstaFinder---Find-the-right-drone-for-you.png

Hi everyone,

The team at DronesDen.com have just launched what we believe to be the first instant drone search and filter page - The Drone InstaFinder to help you find the right drone for you. For now, we have a database of about 30 drones easily available to buy (including 2-3 that are currently in the design/ prototype stage), the majority of which are under $900.

The page will initially load all of the results, which you can then filter by using the criteria on the left.

The filtering options are:

  • Price
  • Flight time
  • Ease of flying
  • Take off/ landing mode
  • Camera available
  • Applications
  • Brand

We plan on adding more in the future, depending on the feedback we get. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated as we are striving to improve the tool and make it as useful as possible to the potential buyer. This is not an exhaustive list for now, as we will be adding more drones to it regularly.

Check it out!

  • +1 for John Moore's comment. Nice job on the website so far. I added a link to this blog post on 'New to making a UAV or drone system'. Maybe some day you will have the time (and income) to verify claims of "Flight Time" by using a standard/common measurement approach.

  • Thanks Gary, hopefully it will help some people.

  • I have linked to your DroneInstaFinder here on my Quadcopters Are Fun Site RTF Quadcopters page:

  • I need a gimbal finder.

  • Thanks Gary! Yes, it will be a challenge to keep up with the dynamic pricing, but this should at least give people a rough indication of what options they have available. In the future, ideally the price will automatically update but that's a work in progress.

    All the best,

    Nick

  • Hi Nick,

I think this is a great idea and I will definitely link to your site on my Drones Are Fun, Quadcopters are Fun and Multicopters Are Fun web sites.

I have been really pushing for people new to multicopters to start with an inexpensive consumer / toy quadcopter because they are small, safe, rugged and great for learning to fly multicopters.

And your site provides a nice grouping of them.

I did notice that the FPV Hubsan X4 you show for $129.00 actually links to an Amazon copter for $159.00, I imagine with re-sellers dynamically adjusting their prices keeping up is going to be a challenge.

    Best Regards,

    Gary
