$40 for 2.4 ghz, 100mw Tx and a decent low light camera with a voltage boost to run on a single lipo, I will bet that stated tx power is close to actual rf output power.. I got their pan & tilt kit for $7, a nice unit..

I checked and I think that the dimensions of the camera (38x38mm) are just a tad bigger that what the pan/tilt accepts (36x28mm).

Darn, I will have to make a longer base and tilt plates from 1/16 plywood to make it work..

Can someone help the newb with a few questions... 1) Will I be able to hook this up to my Blade SR? and 2) What is needed on the PC side to view the live video feed?

Can anyone recommend an inexpensive receiver to go along with it?

@Tedro: If your Blade SR can lift some extra weight (8 gram for transmitter, not sure about camera - is not in specifications) it would probably work. Let's say that camera weigth 50 gram, can your Blade carry an extra 60-100 gram?

On the PC (or TV) side you would need a video receiver that works at 2.4Ghz (HK says'Compatible with most 2.4Ghz video receiver systems' in the description of the product). In addition, if you want to display the picture on a PC, you would need something to grab video, something like this: http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.5707

@Xander: Please not that I have not tested/verified the following receiver to work with the product discussed here. You will have to contact both RangeVideo and Hobbyking to be sure it works.

The following COULD work (US$ 50): http://www.rangevideo.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPat...

Thats an amazing price!

More than $ 100 bucks cheaper than most.

I would wait for more feedback from users before trusting it with an FPV plane!!

A camera that looks the same and has the same specs has been available on ebay for $25 incl. shipping for a while now. Also, this is not the only cheap 2.4 GHz TX. Have a look on the FPV forum on rcgroups for alternatives and you see that there are several options in this price range.

Any thoughts on whether this can be used alongside a 2.4Ghz RC system?
