Can the wings be removed and fixed in field for transportation?

I don't work for Hobbyking, I just frequently check their website for new products.

Don't know if the wings are removable, I have asked that question on the product page.

Ok, turns out that the wings are removable. I got that confirmed from someone that replied to my question on the product description page discussions.

Now I need to get the OK from my wife (She just bought a lounge set for in the garden which we didn't need - in my opinion - so she owes me).

Although EDF is not best for efficiency, This looks like a plane I might get for FPV and Ardupilot purposes, for the price you cant go wrong. I cant wait to see how this will perform, for only $50 and shipping is not bad at $30. I hope this foam is not easily breakable, but I have a feeling it is not the most durable plane.

Would be interesting to attach a Propeller at the back as a pusher-config.

What i think is a cheak: Net weight 350grams
and which weight do they declare at the bottom when you put it into your shopping basket? 2499grams.
They just want you to take bigger shipping, what i think is not ok...

@Daniel, No, you pay for volume shipping. Shipping is not based on weight, but on dimensions of packages and that is translated by some formula to weight.

In this case, size matters ;-)

Darn you, why did you have mention this, now I'll have to explain to the wife why the bank account is $90 lighter.

LOL...

I wonder how long it can fly with 3S4000mAh. Anyways it's really cool looking bird. And looks like it has a lot space inside to mount all nice hardware :)

Ken, I really do understand you ;)

Mhmm, devil's advocate again.
Wondering about:
- short wing chord. Flutter at speed ?
- EDF. Climbing rate with some payload ?
- very short lever arm and a lot of weight far from CG. Very unstable/nervous/dancer on pitch axis ? Hard to gently control stall conditions ?

It's longtime I have this Predator on my wish list, but it never convinced me. To take video I still prefer gliders. They have high efficiency, are very stable etc.

Best regards,

Ric
