This is a very interesting Hindered multi copter. I was thinking of this same concept using a weed waker motor on a large quad & kk board. But the guys in south Asia have beaten me to it. well it a nice job in any event.
It takes two electric motors/props to compensate for the torque of the IC motor.
I guess a use would be to mix in mosquito spray into the exhaust to fog an infested area.
A+ for getting it flying. Efficiency?
Observations:- Two motors are tilted to counter the reaction torque from the gas engine, correct????
THe first engine is visually smokeless but the second engine has a lot of smoke, are these 2 different types of engines?
What capacities are the engines(power, volume)?
If you have the time pls share your specifications, importantly the size of electric motors and the blades on them, duration of flight(feel might be limited to battery bank except the batteries are charged by the onboard gas engine or total electrical supply is by the gas engine).

engine NGH 17cc , 50cc tank 3000mah 3s lipo 30min flight time. the center prop does most of the work the electric motors control the pitch yaw & so on. yes the angle of the prop counter torque but not a must.

i've the video on youtube long time ago. Since then i'm developing / thinging on a similiar solution. some one has more pic or info about it? Vibrations must be very hard to absorp here!
How about using the glow engine as an additional generator to prolong battery life?
The devil is in the details. It's not really a generator, but a gas lift engine with 4 electric motors controlling attitude.

i fly almost the same using Electric powered only.
Why not a quad with just IC engines? OK, so they're a little non-linear, but you've got plenty of MIPS thesedays to sort that little problem out.
Very nice, very close to a complete and relatively internal combustion solution.
A small generator or alternator connected to main engine (by belt possibly) could easily provide power for necessary electric motors.
Seems like increasing diameter of central propeller could significantly increase efficiency.
Seen Quads with internal combustion direct drive and variable pitch rotors, but mechanicals are very complicated and hard to make and probably expensive and failure prone.
This is simple and relatively cheap, always good.
