I meant to make this a blog post rather than put it on the forum. I thought my most recent crash would interest some of you as after the crash the GoPro recorded some kangaroos crashing in to each other as well.
Happy New Year to you all!
Comment by OlivierD. on December 31, 2012 at 4:09pm Lol! That is the funniest thing I have seen on this board in a while! Roos are so entertaining, this is priceless footage. What was Roo1 thinking doing a stationary hop like that while he had Roo2 right behind him? Hilarious!
Happy New Year to you too!
Comment by Mike Thorlin on December 31, 2012 at 4:35pm That is awesome!!! You guys have huge rats in Aus...
I once crashed my Skywalker, after the crash, the camera kept rolling, as did yours. Nothing nearly as interesting, but I did catch two City of Phoenix cops who found the plane speculating what the hell it was...

Comment by Darrell Burkey on January 1, 2013 at 2:15am @Greg - Yes I was heading for that group of roos. With a GoPro you have to get so close to things I was aiming for a couple of meters above them. But I selected that location because I can stand on a ridge above the field and see where the roos are. At 70-80 meters away I find it difficult to judge height at that angle. But I did come close so not bad for a first try. And the bonus footage of the roos jumping in to each other was priceless.
Comment by Darren Stan Oakley on January 1, 2013 at 5:08am Love it. You could speed hours trying to get priceless footage like this and you get i by accident. Kind of helps numb the pain of a broken quad.
Comment by Edgar Scott on January 1, 2013 at 9:15am You don't have FPV? :)
Comment by Darrell Burkey on January 1, 2013 at 4:40pm @Edgar - Actually I do. But the gimbal I use for my GoPro doesn't have space to plug in the video out cable. I have a new gimbal on the way and I'm really looking forward to using FPV. Stay tuned. :-)
Comment by Anderl on January 2, 2013 at 5:47am Lol! The coincidence always results irreplaceable :-)
