Man... first thing I liked was Jordi not putting a suit and a tie to talk on tv :D !!! Nice going, really loved to see his effort recognized.

Did he just say you don't need an insurance? Oh my goodness!
Anyway, good to see 3DR is getting positive attention.

Marc: 3DR had tons of insurance, from building to liability. You can't run a business without it.

Marc, that is what he said, but I don't think it was really the intention....  What should be said is that the insurance for running a quad is or should be 10 to 100 times cheaper than a full size aircraft, and I would think that using small machines could be covered under a company's general liability policy.

@Chris: the insurance was meant to be for flying the quad. Review the video, Jordi compared helicpoters with quads.

@Robert: I agree a hundred percent it was not his intention. Speaking in public is difficult, as you have no chance to correct or precisize what you have been once it is said. Jordi only wanted to show the financial advantages for the users.
I watch the process of defining laws for drones carefully, as I am involved in a govermental/commertial uav project. I think we will all laugh at the "beginnings" in 5 or ten years, but right now it is a really interesting time, as wee all are more or less pioneers doing things nobody has done before.
