Comment by Todd Hill on March 9, 2012 at 8:06am i have been considering fixing an ardurover to one of my copters for some time, but this is really sweet!

Yeah that is realy cool and briliant idea.

Return to Launch might take a while on foot :-)

That's awesome!
Everytime I see somebody's big hexa or octo with the massive landing legs intended to hang a camera gimbal, I think about how it looks like a flying robot (bipedal).
Although realistically, I think this would be much better with wheels. Wheels will weigh less and be faster. And you can benefit from the strengths of both systems. Fast, efficicent movement on smooth surfaces, and then "jump" over the rough stuff. ;)

I have a Phoenix Hexapod lying around somewhere. Maybe time to dig it out again and put a hexa on top of the hexa.. :)
Comment by John Hanson on March 11, 2012 at 10:21pm How about using apm to balnce on 2 wheels? When progress stops or unit tips too far blades fire up to fly over obstacle.
