The body/fuse looks like a Skywalker X8 foam fuselage that someone put the wingtips on backwards.    https://is.alicdn.com/img/pb/258/801/706/706801258_462.jpg  :-)

So you land on fragile wingtips ? or parachute only ?

Parachute only ! the X8 has grown up NOW ready for OEM's to take on the platform! complete professional kit with para shoot & panda FC standard.

wild speculation.... seems reasonable that if the parachute was deployed from under the fuselage, that the aircraft would parachute down wing-tips-up.    not a bad idea if I do say so myself.  :-)

No, The chute can easily drop out of the bottom and that is the normal operation, the cover doors open and the parachute is ejected by gravity, the attachment points can still be on the top of the wing and so land bottom down.

The videos and pictures are of an X8it is not the new plane.

The catapult is underpowered and the aircraft is at minimum flying weight so it just gets airbourne. An X8 for 90 min flight with cameras and all the other equipment is approx 6kg and this catapult will never launch that weight.

Very bad advertising.

the catapult is for the X8, the unicorn is RTF without the catapult. They Stop making the X8 kits!
