Twinstar fpv lost and found by girls.

Ever wondered what happens to your lost drone or plane while you are searching for it ?

Had to make an emergency landing with my fpv twinstar because it lost a propeller.  While I was searching for it, 2 girls found the plane, and their conversation was recorded by the still operational HD camera.  I was quite amazed by their technical insight and conclusions !

Enjoy !

Nice, girls from the Limburg (NE) side of my country. They get really technical, amazing! They probably didn't take it because they understand what a GPS tracer can do, or maybe they are just nice girls.

Cool man, really got to hand it to the girls though for not taking it with them?

Huh, interesting.  So the Twinstar can't fly on 1 engine?  Well, there goes that plan that I had.  I figured it would make a better airplane because it could still fly if you lost one motor.

So why did the propeller break?

My twinstar with AXI 20-22Ls can fly single engine. I doubt if it would fly particularly well with a load though.

Yes, the twinstar can fly on 1 motor...  if you realise that you only have 1 motor, don't give too much throttle and apply the right amout of aileron and rudder to countersteer.

I have flown on 1 motor with it before.  But not in 4 beaufort wind and not fpv.  Furthermore it has been years since I lost a prop on the twinstar and I didn't hear the "klak" of the prop comming off.  So I thought something else was wrong.

I did notice that my amp draw was much lower then what I was used to for a certain throttle setting, but still I didn't make the  link to a lost prop.  If I had realised a prop had come off, I probably could have gotten it home.

Propellor didn't break I think, it just unscrewed, probably by the long descend with high headwind.  I guess that made the prop drive the motor as a generator, slowly unscrewing it.  Prop and spinner nut were missing.  I haven't noticed any other damage so far.

the "old bat" part was rather un-called for. It should have been thanks for not killing it with her shovel.
