Nice design. I understand that you are the one to first port the APM to the ARM, that you are helping with the PX4 port, & that you are also exploring building on the Nuttx, or at least including their filter libs. Would you mind saying something about where that currently stands. My bias is toward learning the OS based stuff, as it looks simpler, more easily extensible, & more easily applied to the ARM 9 & friends, as certainly will be happening next time we blink.

our team port APM to ARM 2 years ago ... and continue to support and develop the code .... Now we are working also on AP_HAL and we are near the finish of the work ... so about OS ... is important to have a good Realtime OS . If you haven't is better to have a bare metal architecture without os ... is more  efficient .

looks great! It seems to be very ' over the top' for what is does, the only real advantage is waterproofing? what does this unit cost??

AP_HAL looks like the Chibi without the kernel ported to a single chip. The main advantage of using something already built is that you can drink wine, chase women, & go sailing instead. What's the reason for not doing that?
