Oh man thanks for the vids,  Those were exactly what I was talking about with my quad copter experiment.  I dont know if it was a motor that failed or what but she flipped when hitting the outside thermals of a controlled burn and crashed.  Basically I kinda shifted gears from a quad back to what I know in a traditional heli.  I was flying it manually using a KK controller.  My captain has been experimenting with a Parrot drone and keeps going through motors because it flips on him after fast forward flight. 

One of the reasons I am starting off with a 450 clone is that I can get the airframes for about $8 each with $5 for a set of blades on Leadershobby so I buy about 5 at a time and when I need parts I can either used a new chassis or just grab the replacement parts.  Since I am not flying 3D the composite rotor heads seem to work fine for me. they just dont survive crashes like the aluminum heads on my 250.

 good job, very nice, i am almost done with my PVC fixed wing UAV(that is what I called it any way), will share the details and pictures later, used the thin wall PVC to keep the weight down..

Season Two of the Trust Time Trial (T3) Contest has now begun. The fourth round is an accuracy round for multicopters, which requires contestants to fly a cube. The deadline is April 14th.
