Yes it was, it was worse on day two when I knew how worried to be!!! I was very relieved when air traffic called one minute and I landed and the A400M got off on time. Just imagine the shame if I held up the entire afternoons flying display fishing my airframe out of a tree or off the runway.

I was the pilot for Fanwing. See www.fanwing.com and it was an amazing week with an excellent attendance from the world of UAV's, i hope we see this being encouraged in airshows to come.

Wow the wayback machine Morli! But shows just how far ahead the UK is compared to the USA. 75k people watching controlled airspace etc etc etc

I had sort of forgotten that video, my dads in it and my great friend and helicopter driving master Tim. All filmed by my young lady http://www.sarahlovejoy.com yes going out with a URL is odd.

All I dared do was a circle, others were um more enthusiastic and caused even more grey hairs for the organisers.

Happy days.

Forget flying in Controlled airspace, I can hardly get a decent RC/UAV flying above 20-30 min :), some days soon I guess.

Its all about drag... Its difficult getting endurance where I am now, I live 5000' up and it was 28C here today and this is winter. When I fly down at sea level it feels like flying in mud! Back in the summer I could not actually stand outside whilst flying and that was a more limiting factor than anything a super simple airframe could create. even made me make a density altitude graph to remind me why the airframe was struggling
