It is entirely graphics even the text. It is full color graphics overlay all done on the OSD. We have hardware alpha blending and as well as other standard hardware graphics drawing capability. The new version in preproduction now also has a built in 3D graphics engine as well as 2 full video paths that can be kept separate or mixed as matched as needed. There are many other features that I will share at a later time.

Hi Morli,

I was just wondering where you saw the dimensions of the new board posted?

That's cool. We have been flying the old boards in EasyStars since May of 2009. They fit right in the cockpit with only a little trimming of some foam to clear one of the header connectors. You can check out my YouTube page here. We have also been flying them in EasyGliders, Trex450, Trex500, Rapter 60 and MikroKopters since then. We went to the EasyGlider so we could add bigger batteries for longer duration flights. Smaller is always better. Unfortunately sometimes you just can't get it any smaller. There are only two sides to a PCB and the parts and connectors have to go somewhere. But I am pretty sure you and I are like most everyone else I have seen on this site and others, if you want the features on a given product, you will figure out a way to mount it on your vehicle no matter how big it is even if you have to resort to duct tape.

But when it comes right down to it. I don't even have real pricing on the new boards yet. That is still a couple of weeks away so please don't get too excited yet. When they become available I hope everyone who wants one can both afford one and figure out a way to mount it on their vehicle.

Gr8, yes i have seen almost all your videos :-). Yes duct tape or drag it behind if nothing else works ;-).
looking forward to your ver2. Did you add any new features to the new board or what was lacking in old one?

Yes, I have used the drag method a time or two. It was not intentional but used it just the same. And yes, the new one is way cooler. I will put together a complete feature list in the next day or so and get it posted.
